Ocular infection is one of the most common condition & to deal with this attached ocular microbiology & viorology laboratory was setup. Besides microbiological work-up, facilities for some hematological and biochemical tests are also available. Fortification of ophthalmic medicines which are not available through any commercial outlet are done, along with preparation of some of the diagnostic aids. To extend laboratory facilities to other centres of the country, it offers laboratory technicians training programmes.
