Glaucoma is a complex disease affecting the optic nerve at the back of the eye, associated with unstable intraocular pressure, if untreated, can eventually cause irreversible blindness. Glaucoma service at CEITC is managed by a trained & competent team. For efficient management, the clinic is equipped with all necessary equipment's like visual field analyzer, Optical coherence tomogram, pachymetre, Laser etc. The team of Glaucoma department deals with a large group of congenital & secondary Glaucoma's referred from other institutions all over the country. Different types of filtration surgeries with and without collagen implantation, combined cataract & Glaucoma surgeries are done routinely. The clinic deals with around 15000 OPD visits and about 1200 surgeries annually. The department also has short & long term fellowship programs.
